The future of serial and prototype production

3D printing technology has undergone such a big leap in recent years that it is no longer possible to rank it among slow and expensive technologies.

3D printing FDM – plastics

The most basic production of 3D printing, 3D printing is done by melting plastic material in the form of a string that passes through the nozzle and gradually layers on the print pad. Gradually layering creates the object of the desired shapes. Although this technology is slower, if you imagine that one smaller product is printed for an average of 30 minutes, we have 2pc per hour, we can already produce 120pcs per hour on 60pc of 3D printers, we produce 2880pc in 24 hours, in this case no other technology can produce so quickly if you do not have injection moulds available. In case you need to produce injection moulds, only the design and production of molds will cost you in the order of thousands of euros and delivery for several weeks. With us, we can start production of 3D printing almost immediately. So whether you need a prototype, spare part or mass production, 3D printing can be the fastest and cheapest technology. We print orders from 1pc to thousands.

How is such a procedure carried out? You will deliver the 3D model in STL or STEP format, based on the property requirement we will choose the appropriate material and produce the first samples for you or, in the case of serial production, in some cases from several types of materials. Once the samples have been approved, we start serial production immediately.

Of course, this technology is not only for the production of small parts, we also produce large products with it, an example is gift tubes.

For FDM printing there are a large number of thermoplastics, from clean PLA plastics to recycled, basic plastics such as PETG to technical materials such as ABS, ASA, PA12. Thanks to this, we are able to choose the most suitable material for you. We have large stocks of almost all materials in our warehouses, so you don't have to wait for anything and start production immediately.

3D printing MJF + SLS – plastics

In addition to basic FDM printing, we also produce plastic products using other technology. Professional technologies MJF and SLS can produce extremely solid components from technical plastics: Nylon PA11, PA12 and, if necessary, the highest strength can be produced with glass fiber admement, which ensures the highest strength of components. These productions can be compared with injection. The production process of a single batch takes about 24hours, but since the entire chamber of components is printed in a given time, it is possible to produce thousands of pieces of functional components in 24 hours, this technology is slightly more expensive but at the same time achieves the greatest possible strengths.

MJF – MultiJetFusion is printed on Hewlett Packard 3D printers, this company has developed the cutting-edge and most advanced technology in 3D printing and our customers use it not only in prototypes but also in serial production.

3D metal printing

3D printing of metal has long been considered uneconomic and demanding, it is now more and more used and affordable, more complex components are even more economical to produce using 3D printing than CNC machining. Compared to plastic printing, 3D printing of metal is less used, but it is because this technology was not affordable in Slovakia, this has changed and in our company we print the current stainless steel and aluminium at very affordable prices. As printing takes place behind 3D System DMP Flex devices, it achieves the highest quality. We are currently printing stainless steel and aluminium from materials.

In addition to the above technologies, we also offer 3D printing of high-detailed, full-color or extremely large components larger than 1m3.

Do you need to produce parts and are looking for a quick and economical solution? You are in the right place, we offer you 3D printing of plastics, metals, injection moulding or CNC machining, it is up to you which technology we choose together. If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact us.  We will be happy to advise or prepare a quote as soon as possible.

3D systems DMP flex 100 and 350

Metal 3D printing technology is gaining popularity every day, also because it is already affordable.
In most cases, it is much cheaper than making CNC machining. We have 2 metal printing printers available in our company:

DMP Flex 100 with print volume 100 x 100 x 80mm for smaller parts and prototypes.

DMP Flex 350 with print volume 275 x 275 x 420 mm for large parts and serial production.

Printing materials: 2 types of materials are available. 17-4PH – stainless steel and AlSi10Mg – aluminium.

Metal 3D printing technology can be likened to welding material. The connection of individual layers of metal powder occurs with the action of a laser that renders the contour of a future component. Subsequently, an additional layer of powder is applied and attendance is applied to re-bonding.

The use of this technology is particularly suitable for prototype production and smaller series, but it is also economically efficient for large series of 1000–5000pcs.

The future of 3D metal printing is also found in the production of inductors used in induction hardening. Compared to the previous manual production of inductors, it was not possible to achieve the exact dimensions of the inductor and the production was more costly. We are currently completing the process of production of inductors and preparing to launch it in a few months.

You can see the process of making 3D printing of metals in the attached video.
